Challenges

The Abu Dhabi Transport Authority required a sector-wide environmental and OHS framework for transport entities. This included ports, airports, rail and land transport operators across Abu Dhabi.

7th Sense was engaged to develop and implement a regulatory framework and certified management system.

Solution

7th Sense conducted stakeholder engagement with regulated transport sector entities.
The project included sector-wide risk and performance assessment, framework development and certified EHS management system design.

7th Sense also supported energy, water and waste efficiency initiatives and technical direction for the Department of Transport’s first Sustainability Report.

Impact

The framework established a consistent approach to environmental and OHS management across the transport sector, strengthening risk management, regulatory oversight, sustainability performance, reporting, accountability and continuous improvement across major transport entities.
