Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety Management Framework and Systems for the Abu Dhabi Transport and Tourism Sectors Seventh Sense was separately engaged by both the Abu Dhabi Transport Authority and the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority to support them with the development and implementation of environmental and OHS management frameworks and systems for the Abu Dhabi transport sector (including all ports, airports, rail and land transport) and tourism sector (including all hotels, hotel apartments and tourism operators). Our services for the Transport Authority included engagement and consultation with regulated transport sector entities (rail, ports, airport, and bus authorities and operators), a sector-wide assessment of environmental and OHS risks and performance, development of a management framework and strategy, development of a certified management system, and implementation of industry environmental, sustainability and OHS initiatives (inlcuding energy, water and waste efficiency programs). Our services for the tourism authority included: - engagement and consultation with regulated tourism sector entities (hotels, hotel apartments and tourism operators) to assess sector-wide environmental and occupational health & safety (EHS) risks;
- establishment of sector-wide EHS policy objectives, targets / KPIs, management system and industry initiatives to support compliance with the new regulations, including energy, water and waste initiatives;
- development and delivery of sector-wide training including general awareness and technical training for more than 3,000 tourism sector executives, managers, engineers and operational staff; and
- an emirate-wide Green Hotels Program including green hotel building design and operational guidelines, a web-based application for reporting and benchmarking hotel performance, green hotel workshops and industry sustainability initiatives.
| Strategic Environmental Management & Compliance Framework, Property NSW Seventh Sense was engaged by Government Property NSW to put in place a strategic environmental management & compliance framework, contaminated land management program, and environmental services capability to support its commercial transaction and property management functions across its wide portfolio of leased or owned property worth over $120 billion. Properties being managed, disposed or leased varied from development sites, power stations, landfills, industrial sites, commercial sites, and port facilities. Our services included: - the establishment and management of a dedicated Environmental Services Group, including business case, organisational structure, business processes and dedicated team;
- development of a strategy for managing environmental compliance and contaminated sites, including policies, risk-based technical procedures, register, and program;
- development of legal procedures and templates to support the sale of contaminated sites;
- technical support and training for the Commercial Transactions, Major Projects and Asset Management teams;
- project direction, technical input and/ or advice on major and complex remediation projects including Hunters Hill, Intertrade / Mayfield (former BHP steel works), St Peters Interchange (Westconnex), Barangaroo, Bays Precinct, Sydney Fish Markets, Munmorah Power Station, White Bay Power Station.
- management of more than 100 environmental assessments and 52 investigations to support the sale of contaminated sites;
- coordination of NSW Port Lessor Corporations's environmental lease obligations including liaison with Port Lessees (Port Botany, Port Kembla, Port of Newcastle) on contamination issues and environmental incidents, review of environmental management plans and reports, and liaison and negotiation with the EPA and DPE;
- coordination of environmental due diligence assessments and reviews for the vesting of contaminated assets; and
- specialist environmental and sustainability advice and support to over ten (10) other NSW Government Agencies including Treasury, RMS, TfNSW, Education, Health, UrbanGrowth, Barangaroo, Westconnex, Police & Justice, WAMC, HDC, and Endeavour Energy.

Management of Planning & Environmental Approvals, Environmental Management Plans & Government Agency Consultation for the Sydney Intermodal development (Moorebank Logistics Park) Seventh Sense recently provided support to Tactical Group (and their Client Qube Logistics) on the management of planning / environmental approvals, CEMP/OEMP, and Government Agency consultations for the Sydney Intermodal development (Moorebank Logistics Park).
